TTC works across the world in the tourism sector covering local, regional and national strategies. We provide realistic approaches to tourism development and marketing, focusing on the development of strategies and plans which set stretching but achievable goals.
We inform our clients through our up to the minute knowledge of world
tourism trends which we place in the context of the country, region or
local area. We take into account local trends and issues and consult widely
to achieve consensus over the way forward.
TTC prides itself in identifying with the client and understanding the
special issues and concerns that can impact on the people as well as the
economy.
We believe fervently in developing sustainable tourism. The following case studies indicate the range of what we do in tourism:
National Conference Centre, Dublin
TTC
has project managed this key development for business tourism in Ireland
for a major private sector client. From concept to planning inquiry through
market planning, feasibility, operational capability and funding - TTC
has organised and managed the development process. The project is now
under construction and poised to become a leading European conference
centre.
Powerscourt Golf & Hotel Resort
The
first Ritz Carlton Hotel in the British Isles opened at Powerscourt in
Autumn 2007 providing outstanding world class accommodation. TTC worked
with the owners of this prestigious development in Co Wicklow near Dublin
to help provide championship golf facilities and an international standard
hotel complex. A blend of old and new makes this one of the most exciting
hotel resorts in Ireland.
Ulster Tower, The Somme
TTC
examined the management and purpose of the Ulster Tower on the Somme for
the Dept of Finance & Personnel in Northern Ireland to establish the
justification for funding. TTC then worked with the Somme Association
to prepare a Management Plan for this prestigious memorial to the 36 th
Ulster Division in World War 1.
Sixtowns Community Group
TTC
worked with a cross-community group in County Tyrone to help them get
a tourism project back on track and to help build capacity within the
group. This was a project within a Pilot Programme of the International
Fund for Ireland and the Department of Agriculture & Rural Development
which gave consultancy support to newly completed projects.
Hillsborough Castle Gardens
TTC
was commissioned by the Northern Ireland Office to undertake a review
of the management and maintenance of the Historic Landscaped Gardens of
Hillsborough Castle - once the home of the Governor of Northern Ireland
and now the Secretary of State's residence. Best practise in a number
of major gardens in England and Northern Ireland was drawn on and a future
development plan set in place which can return the gardens to their original
state. A new management and staffing structure has been proposed.
Coleraine Borough Council Caravan Parks
TTC
was commissioned by CBC to examine the future of its signature caravan
parks at Juniper Hill and Carrick Dhu. The objective was to consider future
options which would maximise returns to the council and to provide for
major future investments necessary to achieve modern standards. The report
was accepted by the Council.
